Megan Casey, a Year 13 student at St. Mary's Menston opened the West Yorkshire Winter School Games yesterday.
“This is a major Olympic style event organised by West Yorkshire Sport. The event is a multi sport county final that engages over 1,000 school age children. Well done to Megan, a great sporting ambassador for St. Mary’s Menston!”
Megan sits on the West Yorkshire Sport Youth Board.
Tomorrow she will be in Loughborough at the This Girl Can conference and as part of her Youth Sport Trust National Youth Board role will interview 'top star' Victoria Pendleton (Britain's most decorated female Olympic athlete).
